HCF to join millions of non-profits around the world in Celebration of GivingTuesday on December 3, 2024; Announces Goal of $5,000

The HBCU Campaign Fund (HCF), a minority education organization, joins millions in the global day of giving on December 3, 2024, to inspire generosity and volunteerism within the community. This year, HCF aims to raise $5,000 for its #GivingTuesday campaign. These funds will support our scholarships and programs, while also commemorating our mission work as an educational nonprofit.

#GivingTuesday is a global movement, unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and their world. #GivingTuesday will kick off the generosity season this year by inspiring people to give back on December 3 and throughout the year.

Each year, non-profit organizations worldwide participate in this day of giving, just like we at HCF do. The fight to support students, Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), and Minority-Serving Institutions is an arduous task that cannot be accomplished alone. Our supporters are essential in helping us strengthen our mission work towards higher education. With your assistance on Giving Tuesday, we can meet our target of raising $5,000 to expand opportunities and provide additional resources for our programming. Our mission at HCF is of utmost importance, and your donation to HCF on Giving Tuesday will help bridge the gap and advance our mission work. The future of our students lies in our hands, and we are deeply grateful for your unwavering support behind HCF,” said HCF Founder, President and CEO Demetrius Johnson, Jr.

Those interested in supporting HCF on #GivingTuesday can visit the Giving Tuesday campaign page here. We’ve identified four scholarship funds and initiative programs that donors can choose to support and make a meaningful impact on. These programs will continue to benefit students and the institutions we serve. The scholarship funds and initiative programs are:

Annual HBCU Football and Recruitment Tour Program
• The Brenda G. Johnson Memorial Scholarship Fund
• HCF General Scholarship Fund
• HBCU Leadership/Campus Ambassador Program

#GivingTuesday was launched in 2012 with a simple idea: to create a day that encourages people to do good. Over the past ten year, this idea has grown into a global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity.
