The 10th Annual HBCU Football and Recruitment Tour Presented by the HBCU Campaign Fund provides hands-on experience with the opportunity to learn about all facets of the 8th Annual HBCU Football and Recruitment Tour, including Social Media, Sideline Reporting, College and Career Fairs, and more. Based on interest, selected interns will be assigned to a specific duty. The tour provides interns access to gain experience covering the biggest HBCU football classic games in the country, including the Southern Heritage Classic, Circle City Classic, Gulf Coast Challenge, Magic City Classic, and Bayou Classic. Interns can also cover sports conferences’ media days and championship games.

Interns will be responsible for providing administrative and operational support for programs, initiatives, game day operations, and other duties as assigned. Ideal candidates will have an interest in pursuing a career in the sports industry, a strong work ethic, interpersonal skills, and the ability to remain professional in high-pressure and fast-paced environments.

This internship is open to juniors, seniors, and graduates of Historically Black Colleges and Universities and Minority-Serving Institutions graduates. Please note this is an unpaid internship, and travel expenses may not be covered. Internship perks include media access to assigned games, with select classic and football games potentially providing meals when press box access is granted. The priority deadline for applications is Wednesday, August 19, 2026.

The 10th Annual HBCU Football and Recruitment Tour Presented by the HBCU Campaign Fund kicks off on Saturday, August 29 at the John A. Merritt Classic in Nashville, TN.
