LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — The HBCU Campaign Fund (HCF), a nonprofit advocacy organization committed to championing Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), Minority-Serving Institutions (MSIs), and the students they serve, is inviting supporters, advocates, and friends to participate in its 2026 GivingTuesday campaign, “Keep the Campaign Going.”
Observed annually on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving, GivingTuesday is a global day of generosity that encourages individuals and organizations to give back to the cause and communities that matter most. This year, GivingTuesday takes place on Tuesday, December 1, 2026, providing an opportunity for supporters to invest in the continued work and mission of HCF.

As a 100% donor-funded organization, HCF relies on the generosity of individuals, partners, and supporters to advance its mission through advocacy, institutional engagement, scholarship opportunities, community outreach, and strategic planning. Contributions help sustain the organization’s efforts to expand opportunities, strengthen institutions, and advocate for the resources and investments necessary to support HBCUs, MSIs, and their students.
Through its 2026 GivingTuesday campaign, HCF is encouraging supporters to help keep the campaign moving forward by making a contribution and sharing the message with their networks. Every gift, regardless of size, helps advance the organization’s work and strengthen its ability to serve as an advocate and champion of historically underrepresented institutions and communities.
Those wishing to support HCF on GivingTuesday can visit the event webpage. Donors have the opportunity to choose form four featured scholarship funds and initiative programs, each offering a meaningful way to make a lasting impact. Contributions to these initiatives directly support students and our partner institutions.
“GivingTuesday is more than a day to give; it is an opportunity to demonstrate our collective commitment to the institutions, students, and communities that continue to shape the future of higher education. Our work does not stop, and neither should our commitment to HBCUs and MSIs. As a 100% donor-funded organization, the support of our donors and advocates makes our work possible. We invite everyone who believes in educational equity, access, and opportunity to join us in keeping the campaign going.”
— Demetrius Johnson, Jr., Founder, President & CEO, HCF
HCF continues to advance its mission through advocacy, fundraising, strategic partnerships, institutional support, and initiatives designed to create meaningful opportunities for students and strengthen the institutions we support and partner with. From championing increased investments in HBCUs to supporting scholarships and developing opportunities for students and communities, HCF remains committed to ensuring these institutions receive the recognition, resources, and support they deserve.
Early gift can be made to any the participating scholarship fund and initiative from the event page and community members interested in creating a challenge to boost the fundraising success of any GivingTuesday campaign can initiate the process on the page as well. The event page also provides graphics and language to help supporters promote the event on social media.
Updates on fundraising process will be available beginning Nov. 3, and campaign information and event updates on Facebook, X, LinkedIn, and Instagram. For more information about HCF, its initiatives, and opportunities to get involved, visit www.hbcucampaignfund.org.
