Southern University Law Center (SULC) has reported a first-time bar passage rate of 75% on the July 2025 Louisiana Bar Examination, surpassing Tulane Law School among the four law schools in the state. This milestone represents a major achievement for SULC, and the HBCU Campaign Fund (HCF) joins in celebrating their success.

SULC is one of only six ABA-accredited law schools at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) in the nation. The Law Center credits its robust bar prep initiatives and faculty support for this success and looks forward to building upon the momentum to continue improving outcomes for future graduates.

The Law Center is part of the Southern University System—the nation’s only Historically Black University System—which includes five institutions in Louisiana. The system offers undergraduate, graduate, and professional degrees focusing on affordable, world-class education and public service while fostering academic, cultural, and social development among its diverse student population.
