CHICAGO, IL – Crain’s Chicago Business recently announced HCF’s Ten Most Dominant HBCU Leader of 2020 honoree and Chicago State University President Zaldwaynaka (Z) Scott as one of 127 Notable Black Leaders honorees.

Since her appointment in 2018, President Scott has championed the dual initiatives of establishing CSU as a center for equity in education and a community anchor. Due to efforts in these areas, CSU led the founding of the National Coalition for Predominantly Black Institutions (PBI), which then led to the formation of the first U.S. Congressional PBL Caucus and launched the 95th Street Corridor Economic Development Plan.

HCF joins the Chicago State community in congratulating CSU’s President Z Scott and all of the honorees on this well deserved accomplishment!
