Welcome to the Division of College Recruitment and Scholarships at HBCU Campaign Fund. The College Recruitment and Scholarships Division is committed to making college attainable for prospective students by coaching them to enroll in college at a Historically Black College and University (HBCU) or Minority-Serving Institution (MSI). The College Recruitment representatives are responsible for providing mentorship, answer the questions, and share information about academics, campus life experiences, scholarships, and much more. This division is also responsible for providing scholarships to HCF recipients.

About HBCUs and PBIs

The Title III of Higher Education Act of 1965, Congress officially defined a Historically Black College and University (HBCU) as institutions of higher education in the United States before 1964 with the intention of primary serving the African American community. HBCUs offer culture, rich history and rigorous academic programs. They prepare students for leadership and life after graduation.

There are currently 101 HBCUs in the United States, including private and public institutions, community and four-year institutions, medical and law schools.

HBCU Football and Recruitment Tour

The Annual Football and Recruitment Tour supports historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs) football classics and is joined by the Division of College Recruitment and Scholarships on specific dates to assist with recruiting to HBCUs and provide scholarship funding to students. The Annual HBCU Football and Recruitment Tour is one of the biggest initiative programs at HCF.
